Electric Walcott is worth the wait: Winger comes on to play starring role in comeback
Pure joy: Welbeck celebrates with Ashley Young and Andy Carroll in front of the England fans

The match-winner added: 'When you have a player like Theo waiting on the bench, you know that whenever he's about to come on that he is capable of making a difference.'

Walcott is confident that England have the goals to trouble most opponents in this competition.

He added: 'There were a lot of Premier League players out there, so it was very similar to playing in the Premier League.

'But we wanted to make more of an impact going forward and if you can score three goals in international football, you are always going to have a chance of winning matches.'
