Electric Walcott is worth the wait: Winger comes on to play starring role in comeback

Walcott scored his fourth international goal with virtually his first touch of the ball and his second major contribution was to set up Danny Welbeck for the winner 12 minutes from time.

Arsene Wenger has used the flyer as an impact substitute on occasion for Arsenal and clearly Walcott was determined to waste no time as he announced his arrival at these championships in emphatic style.

He said: 'It's always nice to come off the bench and show what you can do. But it's not about me. It's about England. We are a family and we are all together.
