Intro:

Italy held their last preparations at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev on Saturday, on the eve of their European Championship final meeting with defending champions Spain.

The two sides met in their opening match at Gdansk in Poland three weeks ago, it finished 1-1.

Script:

SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Cesare Prandelli, Italy manager:

"I think Spain's strength is not only ball possession, but also the way they can win it back and they can win it back a long way from goal. They always try and win the ball back and the defensive line can win the ball back. In terms of our own approach, we have got to be very good during the game, we've got to pick our moments so that we can have a numerical superiority and certainly out on the pitch that is what our aim is."

SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Cesare Prandelli, Italy manager:

"In terms of boredom, I don't think it is a case of them being boring. I think it is the fear of seeing the same side always winning and over the last few years, Spain always seem to come out on top. So they are not boring in anyway shape or form."

SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Gianluigi Buffon, Italy goalkeeper:

"No, listen I said that we wouldn't win it because at the start of the tournament and even during the tournament there was and still is a side that has shown itself to be very strong and above everyone else in terms of their level. This is the only problem we have - we are coming up against them tomorrow, that's Spain. But the best thing is we will start the game at 0-0 with Spain tomorrow."
