The Greek team prepare for their must-win Euro 2012 game against Russia.

A 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic on Tuesday, following a 1-1 draw with Poland in their opening game, has left them bottom of the standings with one match left to play in Group A.

Midfielder Giorgios Fotakis admits they could have done better:

"I don't think we've started well so far. We've made quite a few mistakes. But we're lucky enough to still have our fate in our hands. It's a question of concentrating so that we can beat the Russians and go through."

Next up for Fernando Santos's side is a meeting with group leaders Russia.

Greece's current form in the tournament to date would suggest they may struggle to pick up all three points from Saturday's game in Warsaw, but a win of any kind would see them advance to the quarter-finals.

But Russia, so impressive in their opening 4-1 win over the Czech Republic, were lacklustre in the 1-all draw with Poland.

Midfielder Kostas Fortunis is quietly confident:

"We've seen both of Russia's games. For sure, they weren't as strong in the second game as they were in the first. I do think that our chances of going through are very good, but we've got to show that on the pitch."

Russia were the only side to beat Greece when they won Euro 2004.

Defender Jose Holebas thinks they can still qualify for the next phase: "The Russians are certainly the favourites. They are a super team, so we have to put in a very strong start and not make those mistakes again. Mistakes do happen, but we are professionals, which means we should not make the same mistakes twice."
