Germany arrived back at their hotel in Gdansk at 4am on Thursday morning following their 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in Kharkiv.
After a flight of over 800 miles, the players who started the Group B match against the Dutch were given a rest from training.
It was well earned as Joachim Low's side are in pole position to progress to the quarter-finals with two wins from their opening two fixtures.
Germany hold a three point advantage over Portugal ahead of their final group match against Denmark in Lviv on Sunday.
A point would guarantee top spot in Group B, which would rule out another lengthy journey as their quarter-final clash would be in Gdansk, where the Germans are based.
Germany could face Russia, Czech Republic, Greece or Poland in the last eight as Group A remains wide open.
If Germany finish second, they would have to travel to Warsaw to face the winners of Group A.
