Denmark know a difficult challenge lies ahead.

The Danes have been drawn in Group B of the European Championships alongside Germany, Holland and Portugal.

Martin Olsen's side have are due to face Australia in a friendly on Saturday.

They will be hoping to build some confidence with a convincing win but it is doubtful that the Aussies will possess enough quality to really test Denmark.

The two sides met on the road to the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 and Australia came out on top after a 1-0 victory.

Denmark were dealt a blow on Tuesday when Thomas Sorensen was ruled out of Denmark's Euro 2012 squad after suffering a back injury in the friendly defeat to Brazil.

The Stoke 'keeper was replaced by Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel in Olsen's 23-man squad.

The likes of Christian Erikson will be looking to gather momentum against Australia if the 1992 European champions are to stand any chance of progressing from Group B.

Denmark kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against the Dutch on June 9th.
