Posted Sunday, June 17, 2012 by Dailymail

UEFA officials have acted to stamp out racism for the first time at Euro 2012 by formally charging the Croatian FA after receiving reports that fans allegedly made monkey chants at Italy striker Mario Balotelli.

Croatia are charged with 'improper conduct' of supporters, including 'racist chants and racist symbols' in their 1-1 draw with Italy in Group C at Poznan on Thursday.
