Cruel result: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (right) said Sweden were the better team
Head for heights: Carroll powered home to give England the lead

Carroll opened the scoring with a brilliant header but the Swedes then used the tactical insights supplied by Billger to go 2-1 up and threaten England's European Championship progress.

Adrian Bevington, managing director of Club England at the FA, said that there was 'no evidence whatsoever' of spying by anyone linked directly to the Sweden team.

He added: 'We're very relaxed about what happened and very pleased with the result we got in the match

'I can't say it's something that's causing us great consternation in the England camp.

'It certainly wasn't a security breach and it didn't affect the result thankfully.'

Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims England were fortunate to emerge victorious in Kiev.
