Facing reporters in Gdansk, Poland, on Monday, Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil said he is "convinced" the country can win the 2012 European Championship.

"I think we showed against Greece that our attack is very strong, as well as our defence. We have played four matches and won them all. We had the strongest group and we still got nine points. Now we are in the semi-finals and I think that the other nations have quite a lot respect for us. We knew before the tournament that our team is very strong, we believe in ourselves, and our goal here is to bring back the title. That's what we are here for, and I am convinced that we can make it."
