Fans enjoyed the beer and sunshine in Kiev on Sunday - hours before England met Italy in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.

Script:

The English were in full voice in Kiev as the build up to the quarter final continued.

There are estimated to be about six-thousand English fans in the Ukraine capital - many flew in late to be at the match against Italy.

SOUNDBITE (English): Jack (no last name given), England fan:
 "We've got nothing to worry about at all. It's gonna be 2-0. Andy Carroll is gonna get one, Rooney will get one. Game done."

Fewer Italians on the streets - but those who were seemed confident their team will get the Italian job done.

SOUNDBITE (Italian): Manuel Constantino, Italy fan:
 "I'm sure we'll win. I'm sure the result will be 2-0, I predict (Mario) Balotelli, (Andrea) Pirlo (will score), one goal in each half, and I'm confident that if we win our quarter-final we're going to win the championship."

There had not been a single arrest at 1500 GMT.

Italian Carabinieri and English police officers were deployed to help their Ukrainian colleagues deal with the fans.

No sign of trouble though, just a kiss from Kiev.
