Intro:
Tourism in Poland has exceeded expectations thanks to fans attending Euro 2012.
Script:
No sounds of football fans in the picturesque city of Gdansk.
But don't be fooled, they're not far away.
Since Euro 2012 hit the city's been inundated with fans and they all have a lot of cash to spend.
Gdansk press officer Michal Brandt says this is excellent for business.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Michal Brandt, spokesman city of Gdansk:
"It's the restaurant owners, pub owners, managers who are really very, very glad because of Euro 2012. They increase their revenue at about 300, 400 per cent during Euro 2012, and that's absolutely stunning."
Cheers to that.
Of course, where a fan goes the beer flows.
But there's other things their money has to go on - and with the economy as it is, some fans are feeling the pinch.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Dimitris Agrafiotis, 36-year-old Greek fan from Athens:
"The accommodation is not the cheapest in the world. I think they organisers here and local businesses are taking advantage of the tournament, that's fair. It could be worse, for the Greek people, it's a bit expensive though."
But there's still plenty more money to be spent, as this years European Championship carries on until July 1st.
