The Netherlands Euro 2012 squad departed their base in Krakow, Poland on Monday, the day after being knocked out of the tournament.
Script:
After a late flight back from Kharkiv on Sunday evening the Netherlands squad left Krakow on Monday, bound for Amsterdam.
After finishing runners up at the World Cup in South Africa, hopes were high amongst Dutch fans that their side could make a real impact at Euro 2012 - with much of the same squad from 2010 still intact.
But a team boasting the attacking talent of Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie somehow managed to lose all three games in their group and failed to finish with as little as a point.
The Dutch could still have qualified for the last eight if they had beaten Portugal in their final group B game in Kharkiv, but fell to a 2-1 defeat.
Their early exit leaves huge question marks over the future of coach Bert van Marwijk - who remains tightlipped on his plans for the future.
