It all started with a Polish radio station making a rallying call for something to show support for the national side in their crunch final group A game with the Czech Republic.

The idea was set - a huge national flag to be displayed ahead of the start of the match.

All that was left was to manufacture such an item and within 48 hours, a firm had managed to make it.

Workers began their task and, after safety regulations were agreed with UEFA and stadium officials, worked non-stop to create their vision.

Marek Waliszak is managing director of Opinion:

"The flag is quite big. It's 50 metres by 30. It means it is one thousand five hundred square metres. That's a lot - it's amazing. It's like an Olympic swimming pool or a big building, a ten foot building."

The huge flag is set to make a massive impact once it is unfurled at Saturday's game.

Question: Do you think this could be Poland's secret weapon?

"No, no. I think it is just a symbol - it's just a Polish national flag and a big size. It means we can be really proud we are a team, we are together, we are united."

Having drawn their opening two matches, Poland have to win to have any hope of reaching the quarter final stage of the tournament.
