Co-hosts Ukraine take on France in Euro 2012 Group D on Friday, knowing that a win will see them qualify for the quarter-finals with a game to spare.

Having seen their side win their opening match against Sweden on Monday, Ukraine fans gathered outside the Donbass Arena in the industrial city of Donetsk knowing that three points will be enough to see them reach the knock out stages.

SOUNDBITE:

(Russian) Kostynakyn Kolimiets, Ukrainian fan:" I'm expecting of a very exiting game and Ukraine will win. I hope Ukraine will go up from the group."

France, meanwhile, opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against England, and their fans are expecting another tough test for their side when they take on Ukraine.

SOUNDBITE:

"It is going to be a difficult match this evening because we kicked-off the competition with a draw. That means we have to win against Ukraine, even more so when you consider that Ukraine started with a win. I am both confident and a bit sceptical because Ukraine will produce a good match, they have Shevchenko who is in very good form, so it is going to be very difficult for the french this evening. But with my patriotic heart ,I hope for a French victory and that Ukraine qualify - us first, Ukraine second."

England face Sweden in the the other match in Group D, with the final group matches taking place on Tuesday.
