The Czech Republic could have to do without star men Tomas Rosicky and Petr Cech for their must win Group A encounter with Poland after both players were sent to hospital for scans.
Arsenal playmaker Rosicky was forced off during the 2-1 win over Greece with an Achilles problem, while Cech is struggling with a shoulder injury suffered in the same game.
Czech team doctor Petr Krejci said there is a 75 per cent chance for both players to be fit for Saturday's final group game against the co-hosts.
SOUNDBITE (English): Czech Republic team doctor Petr Krejci:
"During the match with Greece, Thomas Rosicky was substituted at half-time because he had a pain in his Achilles tendon, and Petr Cech had problems with his shoulder after the match. That's why we made checks at the hospital in Wroclaw, we made ultrasound and MRI, and it didn't show any structural, pathological problems in these parts, and that's why we hope that they will be able to play in the next match against Poland. And if you want to hear a percentage for this, it's 75 to 25 per cent in favour of playing."
The rest of the Czech squad trained without the duo on Wednesday, knowing a win at the weekend will see them advance to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.
Right-back Theodor Gebre Selassie has backed the rest of the Czech squad to cope without Rosicky and Cech, but admits it will be a big blow if they can't play/.
SOUNDBITE (English): Czech Republic defender Theodor Gebre Selassie:
"Of course if those players won't be able (to play) for the next game it will be difficult for us, but I hope they are going to be all right".
The Czech's are currently second in Group A, one point ahead of Poland after their victory one Tuesday night.
