SOUNDBITE (German): Joachim Loew, Germany coach:

"I think the tournament has really begun. We played against a top ten team and we have won the game. Surely with this win we have taken a small step. But in general we did not make a big step, because the tournament has just started."

SOUNDBITE (German): Joachim Loew, Germany coach:

"The Netherlands of course know how Germany is able to play, they know, where our focus in the game is. There are no unknown facts in these kind of games, as always when these two teams face each other. Independent from the standings in our group, it is a match at eye level. Both teams have world class potential. The Netherlands mainly in the offence with their fast and good dribbling players, who go deep also from the midfield."

SOUNDBITE (German): Mario Gomez, Germany striker:

"It is always difficult, no matter how the games before turned out. Every game in this group stage will be very hard. Especially against the Netherlands. They are under big pressure already. They must not lose anymore. They desperately have to win this game. Therefore this game has got even more explosiveness. Nobody figured on the fact that Denmark would win the game. I know it is like this and for us it is no different, because we want to win this game also."

SOUNDBITE (German): Mario Gomez, Germany striker:

"We should not forget that we played a very strong team with enormous quality. We won the game and I think the Netherlands or other teams would have been happy with a win in the first game. It is also nice to win the first game, without being at 100 per cent. That means that we still can improve. We know that."
