The Czech team suffered a 4-1 loss against Russia in their Euro 2012 opener on Friday.
Much of the blame for the defeat lay with defensive errors. Despite having one of the world's best goalkeepers in Chelsea's Petr Cech, the men led by coach Michal Bilek could not find the key to stop the Russian attack.
Forward Tomas Pekhart did not play in the opener but hopes he will have his chance in the next match. Although he acknowledges the Greeks' potential, he still has high hopes for victory.
SOUNDBITE (Czech) Czech Republic forward Tomas Pekhart:
(asked if he's expecting to be in the starting team for the next match):
"This a question for my coach, I would love to be in the starting eleven, but you have to ask him. What do we expect? It is going to be a difficult game for us, but we're just hoping we're going to win this game. We saw the game against Poland, I think they are very good players, quick, technical and they are fighters as well, we saw they played in ten men some good football. So it's going to be very difficult but we hope we are going to win this game."
The 4-1 defeat was their heaviest since the Czech Republic was formed in 1993.
Their next opponents, Greece, took part in the first match of Euro 2012 in Warsaw - a 1-1 draw with co-hosts Poland.
