Intro:

The Netherlands held a training session at their Krakow base on Sunday, as they began to digest the 1-0 defeat to Denmark in their Group B opening match.

Script:

Having made the trip back from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, the Netherlands squad trained at their camp in Krakow on Sunday.

For the starting line up - a gentle warm down to stretch out after their efforts against Denmark the previous evening.

Their travels east didn't go according to plan - Bert van Marwijk's side set out on the attack.

Despite a host of chances, the Netherlands failed to get the ball in the back of the net against Denmark - and were made to pay as Krohn-Dehli scored the only goal of the match in the first half.

Robin van Persie and his team mates had no fewer than 29 attempts on target - but were wayward in their finishing.

It now means that there is little room for error in their next group game against Germany on 13th June.

Defeat there would most likely see the World Cup runners up making an early exit from the tournament.
