SOUNDBITE (English) Ruud Gullit, former Netherlands football player

"Yes it's happened, there were some monkey chants. I don't think that if you are frustrated about not having a World Cup (sic) in your city, you do it (complain) in this way, so for that reason everybody was very, very upset. There was on a certain part of the pitch, there were already some exercises put on the pitch, and they changed that to the other side so that it (the chanting) could stop. So it happened, it was reported. It is sad that we have to talk about this."

SOUNDBITE (English) Emmanuel Olisadebe, Nigerian-born Polish player

"Not only in Poland, but all around Europe, it happens all the time, and - I hate to use the word - but it's really disgusting, and I'm happy that UEFA is doing this, we have to start from somewhere."

SOUNDBITE (English) Ruud Gullit, former Netherlands football player

"This is a chance for Poland to do something about it, because this is a social problem, it's not a football problem, it's a social problem, and from now on - because the world is watching you - you have a possibility to tackle this. Take this opportunity."
