There was a touch of Rio de Janeiro on the White Cliffs of Dover on Thursday, as a betting company unveiled a giant image of England coach Roy Hodgson.
The 100-foot (30-metre) tall construction has added Hodgson's head to a copy of the body of Rio's iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.
Fittingly, Hodgson's image is gazing across the Channel towards France - England's opponents in their Group D opener in Donetsk on Monday (11th June).
Many are hoping that Hodgson can redeem England, perennial underperformers at major championships.
Fabio Capello's successor has already had a number of setbacks, including the loss of key disciples Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard and Gareth Barry through injury.
However should Hodgson perform miracles and beat the likes of favourites Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands to the Holy Grail that is the European Championship, England will forever hail 'Roy the Redeemer'.
