SOUNDBITE: (French) Michel Platini, UEFA president
"If we consider the world as a whole and Europe in particular, we would notice and I've been saying this for several years, that there is more and more nationalism in Europe. We can feel it in many matches, as for pointing the finger at Poland and the Ukraine it's easy, especially as many countries face this problem. It's easy of course to do it (point) a few days before Euro 2012, but we have the same problems in France, in the USA, in many many countries, and certainly I think in the United Kingdom also."

SOUNDBITE: (French) Michel Platini, UEFA president
"If the referee decides to stop the match and Mr Collina is here, they do have the authority to stop the match if there are problems, then we will do it because racism is above everything else. I hope that Mr Balotelli will be empowered by (Cesare) Prandelli, that's not my problem that's a problem for Italy, then of course he mustn't leave the pitch, because there could be a yellow card if he left the match, or maybe even a red card."
