Script:

Believe it or not, this was how reigning European champions Spain began their first training session in Gniewino, Poland on Wednesday ahead of the start of Euro 2012.

Spain take on Italy in their Euro 2012 opener on Sunday and will be looking to pick up from where they left off at the last major international tournament having added the 2010 World Cup to their 2008 Euro crown.

Vicente del Bosque's team are the favourites to retain their crown but have a number of concerns going into the game, with key players David Villa and Carlos Puyol missing the tournament through injury.

Sergio Ramos is set to replace Puyol at the heart of Spain's defence, while Fernando Torres and Fernando Llorenthe are battling it out to replace all time leading goalscorer Villa up front.

Spain start their Group C campaign on Sunday against Italy before taking on the Republic of Ireland on the 14th and Croatia on the 18th.
