The Czech Republic side are making Wroclaw a home from home for the duration of their stay at Euro 2012.

A short hop across the border, Michal Bilek's side are based in the centre of the Polish city - and will play all their Group A games there as well.

22 of the 23-man squad trained on Wednesday in preparation for their first match against Russia.

Czech defender Michal Kadlec's not entirely sure what to expect.

SOUNDBITE: (German) Michal Kadlec:
"I don't know if it is the hardest one but it is definitely the most important match as it is the first one. We don't really know where we are in terms of how good we are but I think Russia don't know either. They've had a better build up - unfortunately we lost ours but things are going to start from zero and we will see who is the better team."

The Czech Republic and Russia have only met once - at Euro '96.

Then, the Czech Republic came back from 3-0 down to secure a draw against Russia and advance to the quarter finals.

If Friday's game is half as good as that encounter, their fans in Wroclaw will be in for a treat.
