Slightly later than scheduled, the England Euro 2012 squad landed at Krakow airport on Wednesday.
The red carpet was rolled out for new England boss Roy Hodgson and his 23-man army as they touched down in Poland.
England have chosen to stay in the Polish city despite all their group games taking place in Ukraine - a decision that will result in an approximate 5,000 mile round trip to complete their Group D games.
Hodgson's squad has been hit hard by injuries - with the likes of Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard and Gareth Barry all casualties.
The newly installed England boss must also contend with the suspension of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney for the opening two games.
After being greeted by various officials, the England players signed autographs with local children before departing to their hotel in downtown Krakow.
