" All the players have received a contract to sign that was between themselves and the Football Federation. They all read and signed it. They were told to read the contract, to sign if they agreed, and if they wouldn't agree, they could pack their things and leave. There are things that I cannot and will not tolerate. One of those things is not singing the national anthem. I think if someone wears the jersey of the national team, that they should represent our country to the full extent, in every aspect of the contract."

SOUNDBITE: (Serbian) Sinisa Mihajlovic, Serbian manager
"I feel sorry for the man (Adem Ljajic), because he is a player that I had plans for. We will see what happens in the future. We had talked about this, and he refused to explain whether it was because of personal reasons that he refused to sing the anthem. Technically, he was suspended from the national team. That move is not aimed against him personally, we are talking about a contract that stipulated that if any of the players did the same thing, they would be removed from the team. "
