Terminal D will be the largest terminal in Ukraine and will be in use in time for this summers European Championship, which is being co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland.

With an area of 107,000 square metres and eleven boarding gates, Terminal D can service fifteen million passengers a year.

It can accommodate six large aircraft of the Boeing 747 and five smaller Boeing 737 aircraft.

The construction of the terminal started in 2008 and cost 473 million euros (USD$594 million), including foreign investment.

Boryspil Airport has two runways and also houses four passenger terminals and a mail and cargo complex.
