Bosnia look ahead to Ireland clash
Posted Saturday, May 26, 2012 by SNTV

Intro:

The Bosnia and Herzegovina squad trained at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on the eve of their friendly intenational with the Republic of Ireland.

Safet Susic's Bosnians, unlike the Irish, failed to make it to the upcoming Euro 2012 trournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Script:

Bosnia have the chance to show just what Euro 2012 will be missing when they take on Giovanni Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland in a friendly at Dublin's Aviva stadium.

Despite finishing their qualification campaign just as the Irish did - in second place in their group, they lost out in the playoffs.

Coach Safet Susic and his men will feel they were unlucky to have drawn Portugal at that stage.

But he's already looking past the Euros to the next World Cup in Brazil in 2014:

"In the last couple of years, our team hads had great progress. For the Republic of Ireland it's different. They are preparing themselves for the European Championships, but from today we are starting our preparations for the World Championship and it's in our interest to have a very good result tomorrow. Our team is well respected because of the great results they have shown and we cannot spoil it now."

After taking on the Irish, the Bosnian squad will travel to the United States for another friendly international, this time against Mexico, at Soldier Field in Chicago at the end of the month.
