Intro:

Joachim Loew's Germany head into Euro2012 with the weight of expectation once again on their shoulders and - with a daunting record in major tournaments and some of the most exciting players in the world expected to make the squad.

Script:

The 2012 European Championships get underway in less than a month with Germany, once again, amongst the favourites.

Joachim Loew's youthful side can play some outstanding attacking football and Loew is certainly confident Germany can win a fourth European Championship.

SOUNDBITE: (German) Joachim Loew, German National football team coach:

"I think we belong to the group of favourites. But I also think there are five or six countries that could win; Portugal has players like Ronaldo and Pepe, world-class players, they can definitely say that they belong to the favourites. You always have to consider Italy as a favourite and France with players like (Franck) Ribery, (Samir) Nasri, (Karim) Benzema and so on. Spain always has to be considered a favourite. So, there are only small differences between so many teams."

Germany face a tough group of Portugal, the Netherlands and Denmark but Loew is already thinking ahead.

SOUNDBITE: (German) Joachim Loew, German National football team coach:

"Of course, we go in to the tournament with the aim of getting all the way to the final. And of course we want to win the tournament. It would be great if we would all see each other here in Berlin on the fan-mile to celebrate our victory with our fans."

After winning all ten qualifiers, Germany will be confident of reaching yet another major international final.
