Ukrainian security forces held a training exercise in Kiev on Tuesday as preparations for the 2012 European Championship continue.
Eight fighter jets will be on standby in each of the country's four hosting cities during the tournament in case of a terrorist attack.
Military air forces, police, secret services and rescues personnel will be on high alert throughout the tournament.
The aim of Tuesday's training exercise was to prevent terrorist attacks on passenger planes, stadia or city centres.
As part of the drill, security forces practiced ways of preventing hijacked passenger planes from reaching the Kiev Stadium and also rehearsed storming a plane at a nearby airstrip.
Euro 2012 will kick-off in Warsaw, Poland on June 8th.
