With 46 days to go before the opening match of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine, the design of the tickets for Euro 2012 was revealed on Monday (April 23) at Kiev's Olympic Stadium.

With just 46 days to go until the opening match of Euro 2012, organisers unveiled the ticket design at Kiev's Olympic Stadium, the venue for the final.

The ticket features a horticultural theme, with the national flags of participating teams depicted as leaves, and the match number as a floral bud.

Director of local organisation committee of Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky is pleased with both the design and anti-fraud components of the ticket.

SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian): Markiyan Lubkivsky, Director of local organisation committee of Ukraine:

"Tickets will be sent as recommended letters, three to four weeks ahead of the tournament. We're presenting the ticket design today. I want to say that the ticket has a few levels of protection. There is no chance to imitate it. The design incorporates elements of the national traditions and colours of Poland and Ukraine."

Poland play Greece in the tournament curtain raiser on June 8th, and co-hosts Ukraine open their campaign against Sweden three days later.
