They're known for their extravagant tastes - but the Rooneys still managed to shock their neighbours when a camel turned up to their Cheshire mansion.

The massive  animal was the guest of honour at Coleen's 26th birthday party last night.

She held an Arabian-themed bash to mark the milestone and guests arrived in belly-baring costumes, complete with burkas.

Guest of honour: A neighbour spotted this camel on its way to Wayne and Coleen Rooney's home in Cheshire for her Arabian-themed 26th birthday party

Neighbour Alex Connock tweeted a photo of the camel being pulled along the road towards  Manchester United star Wayne and Coleen's home.

Friends of the couple even climbed on to the camel, called Alice, to take a ride around the couple's huge garden, The Sun reported.

One onlooker told the paper: 'All the guests were dressed head to toe in amazing bright-coloured Arabian costumes with head dresses on.'

Colleen, who turns 26 on Tuesday, tweeted about how fun the bash was this morning and revealed she would be partying again tonight.

She wrote: 'Had a brilliant night!!! Now CM's birthday night out!!! Round 2!! X'

But unfortunately she didn't share her own outfit with her fans.

There was a mild disturbance about noise as party hits like Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke played at the couple's Cheshire mansion.

One neighbour approached security guards at the home at 10.30pm to complain about the noise as Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke played.
